Bheinn a’ Bheithir (1024m), one of the mountains at the entrance to Glen Coe, is in the background.

Crossing Loch Linnhe at the Corran Narrows, 9 miles south of Fort William, the Corran Ferry links the mainland with more mainland: Morvern, Moidart & the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. One of the few remaining mainland vehicle ferries in Scotland, it’s a taste of how a lot more of Scotland used to be, with ferries every 20 minutes making the 10 minute crossing & saving drivers a long detour round the heads of lochs Eil & Linnhe.  Corran Ferry.
