Ardverikie is a 19th-century Scottish baronial house. Queen Victoria & Prince Albert spent 3 weeks at Ardverikie in 1847, enjoying everything except the particularly rainy weather they encountered; Sir James Clark, the queen’s physician, recommended Deeside instead for its more healthy climate, & the royal couple acquired Balmoral on Deeside one year later in 1848.

Ardverikie was made famous as the fictional Glenbogle estate in the BBC series ‘Monarch of the Glen’, & has been used since in ‘Outlander’ & ‘The Crown’; films made here have included ‘Mrs Brown’ & ‘Salmon Fishing in the Yemen.’

The house is available for weddings & other functions through www.ardverikie.com
